Since our formation our main aim has been to transform the common impression of modern-day design and marketing agencies, we’ve worked to develop a creative culture that thrives in each department. Our creative agency is made up of a team full of passion and desire to deliver results that leave a lasting impression. We wanted to work together as an agency, not for an agency. We said goodbye to hierarchy, we left behind office politics, and we created something truly special.
Hyphen Creative was born out of a passion for design and web development. Our creative services have grown year on year as our team continues to develop. Our passion for all things design gives us the motivation to strive for the best for all of our clients, big or small.

We’ve been doing this a while now but a question we get a lot is where did the name Hyphen come from? The answer is Harry and Stephen. Yep, it really is as simple as that!

Why start a creative agency?
We started Hyphen Creative not only because we love great design, but we believe in exceptional customer service. Our experience helped us learn what clients liked and what they didn’t, but when you’re ‘just a designer’, ‘just a developer’ or ‘just an account manager’ working for a larger agency, ironing out the things clients don’t like is a tough challenge as driving improvement fades away passing through levels of authority.

Stephen and I have worked alongside each other for over seven years now, we have developed a truly unique relationship, and we do the same with each of our clients. I am so proud of what we have achieved together and cannot wait to see what the next chapter holds for us.

We created Hyphen out of the love of all things design. Alongside this, I wanted to create an agency that left behind the usual office politics and confusing technical jargon and create a studio where clients and staff are always happy. I am so happy to be part of this amazing journey and I can’t see where it takes us next.

I’ve worked alongside Harry and Stephen since the beginning. I get involved with all marketing projects and help to develop plans tailored to each client. My main role is developing ideas for upcoming marketing plans, and once a plan is ready to go I will work alongside the guys to implement this on a monthly basis.

I’ve been working with Hyphen for just over two years now. I have learnt so much whilst being here. My day to day role usually involved working alongside Harry on the development of WordPress websites. We’ve also been working on a few PWAs recently, which are super-cool.

World Heritage Site, Suite 2b, North Mill, Belper, Derbyshire.
Nestled between Derwent Vally and the Lake District our cosy office is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife. Inside the office, the beauty continues with stunning period architecture and gothic features dotted throughout. This world heritage site has been the place we call home for over a year – why not pop in for a meeting or a cuppa?
Our clients range from large sportswear brands to small local bands – our policy means we don’t turn our nose up at anybody. This allows us to give all of our clients the service they merit at prices that everybody can afford.
